A fictional writing system consists of twelve glyphs. The starting point for this project was images of dinosaurs and more specific, dinosaurs tails.. Tails had multiple uses, including counterbalance (most dinosaur tails counterbalanced a long neck or a large, heavy head). Tails and balance are terms that used in typography as well and calligraphy was the medium to translate this idea into abstract look like letters. After making simplified drawings of the images I came up with a set of twelve pictograms which later abstracted into lines for writing.
